The trip by Greyhound from Boston to Montreal has to have been one of the most horrible trips up. We were delayed two hours and the driver was just really slow. Glad I had wonderful company.

As soon as I got into the city, I met a wonderful taxi driver. He had such character to him. The best I can describe him was a pudgy man with an open shirt and the biggest smile on his face. I asked him to take me to the Titanic cafe (on 445 rue St. Pierre) and the whole time he spoke about how he hated then French and told me where he grew up. Haha! He was quite blunt.

Upon getting to the Titanic cafe, I was greeted with a small sign that lead me to a cafe that went down. My friend, Maddie, had recommended that I stay there until she could pick me up. She had befriended Sam, the guy who handles the cooking, the day before and asked him if I could sit here until she arrived. She is very sweet to me. Sam greeted me with a friendly welcome. Coming from Boston, this greeting was weird since people in Boston just ask what you are having and leave it at that. But this was very relieving and such a nice change to have someone actually converse with me before taking my order.

He asked me if I wanted coffee after such a long trip and I immediately said yes. You can see him bringing me a big “bowl” of coffee latte, and my god, this is the best latte I have ever had in my life. The flavors and temperature was just right. The foam was absolutely the best. This guy has to be one of the most charming guys I have ever met! He has such an alluring Italian voice. Now that just makes me want to learn Italian more!

This place is a must come.

After, we spoke about Italy and he recommended me places to go. Hmm, maybe I will go :)!

Today has just been an absolutely amazing day. After an eventful class that ended up with a lot of laughs shared between me and Georgia, I spend the rest of the night with Shirlyn. We definitely got a lot closer and we talked a lot.

I think today was the first time in a long time that I laughed so hard.

On my way to Canada, I meet a really cool old man after I decided ask the front desk why we haven’t left yet. When I came back, I found a really schizophrenic man who cut us and I actually stood up to him. Wow, my heart was rushing but it feels so nice to be courageous. After that, we hit it off well and just talked, joked around and talked. He is a international law professor at suffolk university and has a partner up in Montreal.

We had such a nice conversation, it was nice to feel free to talk to someone.

I just think today was nice since I was able to realize how nice it feels to not be attached to my computer and just live a little. With Georgia, it is nice to be able to talk to someone and just start to create friends without thinking too much about what I say. With Shirlyn, we went out on a whim and talked a lot. I never really did this kind of think after six pm. With this guy, which I hope to get his name, so we can have coffee, it was nice to see someone in love with his partner and for him to go visit him. It is so inspirational and I feel so happy for them both.

It just feels nice and refreshing.
